Today after the kids went to school, we had street vendor breakfast, Chinese style tacos with a chicken tenderloin in it for 4 rmb. A little spicy and a lot of yummy.
Then I got down to work. The cupboards exploded as I had piles of clothese everywhere mixed with piles of books, and souveniors to pack in between. The 4 suitcases are packed to the gills. And seemingly got heavier with each one I packed. The carry-ons have already been packed, less the lovelies going in last minute. Plus I've got a bit left over. My head is throbbing.
I remember the good ole days of 2 bags per passanger. I think I'm better off buying a new bag and paying for an extra bag vs paying for all over weight bags. But I did find my Japanese souveniors squirelled away(didn't remember doing that, thought they got sent home with my husband)
Porridge is one of our favorite restaurants. Ethan loves the 8 treasure porridge and we end up orderring 2 bowls. Wensen loves the met pancakes(as we call them). We had 2 bowls of porridge, 2 meat pancakes, 2 different noodles, braised eggplant, cold wilted spinach with peanuts, spicy tofu, fried rice, and kung pao chicken all for under $30. This I will miss. I see a lot of Chinsese buffet in my future.

Our little strip mall all lite up in the evening
Porridge, our favorite restaurant. All this for under $30
What?!? Not 2 bags per passenger? Seriously?!?! When did that happen? UGH. China (used to be an exception) to the two bag rule. I feel so sad if it really changed.
ReplyDeleteWell depends who you book through. Chinese airlines may allow 2 coming from, but not going to Asia
